How Did This Accident Occur?

In my experience, authorities often say a driver “lost control” because they don’t know what really happened. That is why this crash needs to be investigated fully.

Did the BMW drift off the road because the driver was distracted or fatigued? Or because he was trying to avoid another vehicle? Or did the BMW have an issue with its steering mechanism? Authorities should be able to answer these questions after they’ve reviewed vehicle data, physical evidence, witness statements and any available video footage. Cell phone records could show what the driver was doing at the time, while an in-depth inspection should be done before the SUV is scrapped or repaired if investigators suspect a mechanical problem contributed to this crash.
