Cherokee County, TX — July 4, 2026, Gracie McClinton and another person were injured in a single-vehicle accident at about 10:30 a.m. on County Road 3504 near Shadybrook.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2013 Hyundai Elantra with slick or defective tires was heading south when it crashed into a ditch south of Petty Circle/Gail Drive.

The Hyundai driver, a 21-year-old man, and passenger Gracie McClinton, 20, were seriously injured in the crash, according to the report. The driver’s name has not been made public yet.
