How Did This Accident Occur?
There are two types of crash where I most often see people jumping to conclusions: single-vehicle accidents and motorcycle wrecks. This crash being both makes me wonder if the details are actually getting the attention they deserve or if officers might be letting bias get in the way. For example, I rarely ever see authorities consider possible mechanical issues following motorcycle accidents. A proper accident reconstruction should always include an inspections for possible defects, but motorcycles tend to be brushed off unless independent investigators with more experience step in. Hopefully authorities handling this situation have been able to set aside any bias and give the accident the attention it deserves. Otherwise, important details might be slipping through the cracks.
