Accident Report

McKinney, TX — July 17, 2026, Sandra Lee Lazarus and William Lazarus were killed in a suspected street racing accident at about 6:30 p.m. on North Custer Road/F.M. 2478.

Authorities said a southbound 2021 BMW X4 may have been involved in a street race with collided with a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe while turning left onto Bedford Lane.

Hyundai driver Sanda Lee Lazarus, 77, and husband William Lavich Lazarus, 77, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.

The BMW driver, who suffered serious injuries along with his two passengers, was charged with two counts of manslaughter after the crash, the report states.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Collin County crash at this time.
