Accident Report

San Antonio, TX — July 8, 2026, Miguel Zayas Jr. was killed in a car accident at about 4:20 a.m. in the 12500 block of Culebra Road/F.M. 471.

Authorities said a westbound vehicle rear-ended another vehicle near the intersection with Daniel Krug, then crashed into a brick fence.

The driver of the first vehicle, 39-year-old Miguel Angel Zayas Jr., was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to authorities. His name has not been made public yet.

The other driver was treated at the scene for unspecified injuries, authorities said.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Bexar County crash at this time.

How Did This Accident Occur?

It’s not clear at this point why these vehicles collided. Was one driver distracted or fatigued? Was one vehicle speeding? Did the other stop unexpectedly?
