How Did This Accident Occur?

Authorities believe a teen driver failed to yield here, and that’s not exactly a fact pattern that breaks the mold. Distraction is the most likely culprit, regardless of the fact that teens are just more likely to make mistakes behind the wheel. But I tell folks all the time that what’s likely and what’s possible are both important to consider. For all we know, the teen’s vehicle experience some out of the blue, one-in-a-million defect that prevented the car from stopping. It’s up to the evidence to tell the story, and victims and families should always make sure investigations are handled by professionals who will leave no stone unturned.
