How Did This Accident Occur?
After a crash at this time of the morning, investigators likely will look into whether the driver was distracted, fatigued or even impaired. But what if the driver had a medical emergency? Or if the Audi had an issue with its brakes? The only way to know for sure what happened here is to see what facts are unearthed in the investigation.
Authorities will work to reconstruct this accident by gathering physical evidence, witness statements, data from the Audi and any available video footage, but outside experts likely will be needed to identify a medical or mechanical issue that may have contributed to the crash. Law enforcement agencies typically don’t have the expertise needed for that kind of diagnosis, in my experience.
A thorough investigation like this will provide answers to any lingering questions these men’s families may have after this crash.
