How Did This Accident Occur?

When a car crashes at this time in the morning, it’s easy to assume it happened because the driver was too tired to stay on the road. But what if he was avoiding an object in the road? Or fighting with a mechanical issue that affected the car’s steering mechanism? The presence of so many possible scenarios is the reason that I always urge people not to rush to conclusions before the investigation is complete.

Authorities should be able to sort out what happened on State Highway 21 by gathering witness statements, physical evidence, data from the Honda’s engine control module and any available video footage. If they suspect a mechanical problem contributed to this crash, it will likely take an independent expert to examine the car, since in my experience most law enforcement agencies don’t have the time or training for that kind of exam.

These steps should provide answers to any lingering questions the injured driver and his family still have about this accident.
