Angelina County, TX — December 25, 2025, Jason Collins was killed as the result of a motorcycle accident at around 4:18 a.m. along US Highway 59.
Investigators said that the crash took place just south of Diboll at the US 59 and Diboll Relief Route split.
According to officials, 51-year-old Jason Kenneth Collins was on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling southwest along the highway. Due to factors unclear right now, the motorcycle left its lane and crashed. Jason Collins was killed as a result.

One of my main concerns with any motorcycle wreck is if authorities are going to be unbiased in their efforts. The unfortunate reality is many folks have a negative bias against motorcyclists and just assume they’re all reckless. At the end of the day, it’s up to the evidence to say what happened here, and bias shouldn’t get in the way of that. If authorities have been able to set that bias aside and get this man’s loved ones the answers they deserve, that would be good to hear. But in my experience, it’s important to follow up and make sure investigators are handling the accident properly.
