My hope here is that the investigations have been getting the attention they deserve. I’ve seen too many incidents involving bicyclists where people jump to conclusions and assume the victim was doing something wrong. At the end of the day, the evidence needs to have the final say. That means examining road markings, looking for nearby cameras, pulling cellphone records, taking witness statements, etc. If authorities have been doing that here, that would be good to hear. But if there are still unanswered questions about the accident, authorities alone may not be enough to get the complete story here.
