Bells, TX — June 12, 2024, Angela Woodson was killed and a minor was injured in a car accident at approximately 10:00 p.m. along U.S. Highway 69.
According to authorities, Angela Woodson and her grandson were in a stopped vehicle waiting for traffic to clear in order to make a safe left turn in the vicinity of the U.S. 69 and Denison Street intersection.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, their vehicle was struck from behind by a pickup truck. The collision caused the vehicle to be pushed into oncoming traffic where it was involved in a secondary collision with an 18-wheeler.
Woodson incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the wreck; she was declared deceased at the scene. Her grandson received injuries of unknown severity; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to get necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
