UPDATE (September 23, 2024): There don’t appear to be any public updates on what happened here or if there were extenuating circumstances authorities investigated, such as mechanical issues, road conditions, alcohol, other vehicles, etc. Hopefully this isn’t a sign that authorities moved on without getting the victim’s loved ones clear answers.
UPDATE (July 9, 2024): Recent reports have been released which clarify a few of the details pertaining to this incident. According to these reports, after being ejected from the motorcycle and landing in the active lanes of the interstate, 31-year-old Drew Alexander West was struck by a westbound Peterbilt 18-wheeler. Additional details are not currently available. The investigation continues.
Garland, TX — June 8, 2024, Drew Alexander West was killed in a motorcycle accident at approximately 3:00 a.m. along Interstate Highway 30.
According to authorities, 31-year-old Drew West was traveling in the westbound lanes of Interstate Highway 30 in the vicinity of Rosehill Road when the accident took place.

The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the motorcycle was involved in a single-vehicle accident. West incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the wreck and was declared deceased at the scene.
The weather and road conditions in the area at the time have not been reported on. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point. The investigation is currently ongoing.
