Bell County, TX — March 10, 2024, Albert Ballou and one other person were injured in a motorcycle versus car accident just before 5:30 p.m. along Fort Hood Street.
According to authorities, 56-year-old Albert Ballou was traveling on a northbound motorcycle on Fort Hood Street, S.H. 195, in the vicinity south of the Central Texas Expressway, I.H. 14, when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, a southbound Nissan Pathfinder occupied by two men ages 22 and 23 on Fort Hood Street attempted a left turn across the northbound lanes of the roadway into a private drive at an unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic. This resulted in a collision between the front-end of the motorcycle and the front, right side of the Nissan.
Ballou incurred suspected critical injuries as a result of the wreck. He was flown to an area medical center in order to receive immediate treatment. The 22-year-old man from the Nissan suffered reportedly moderate injuries, as well.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
