Tarrant County, TX — March 4, 2024, Edward Sanchez and one other person were injured in a car accident shortly after 9:15 a.m. along U.S. 377, Benbrook Boulevard.
According to authorities, 60-year-old Edward Sanchez was traveling in an eastbound Cadillac on Mercedes Street preparing to turn left onto northbound Benbrook Boulevard when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that the Cadillac had the green light indication from the traffic signal at the time. Reports state, however, that for unknown reasons, a southbound Nissan Maxima occupied by a 37-year-old woman on Benbrook neglected to heed the red light and entered the intersection at an unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the two vehicles in the intersection.
Sanchez incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. The woman sustained apparently minor injuries, as well. Each of them were transported to local medical facilities in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
