Bastrop County, TX — December 2, 2023, James Lawhon was killed following a single-vehicle car accident at around 2:30 a.m. on Cistern Road.
Authorities said in preliminary information about the crash that it happened at the Cistern Road and Jeddo Road intersection.
According to officials, 21-year-old James Lawhon was behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang traveling along westbound Cistern. At the T-intersection, the vehicle somehow continued across Jeddo, went off the side of the road, and crashed into a tree along the ditch.
Due to the accident, Lawhon ultimately succumbed to his injuries. There were no other passengers mentioned by authorities, and there’s no indication other vehicles were involved in the crash. The cause of the accident has yet to be confirmed.
