Panola County, TX — November 30, 2023, Randy Beasley was killed while Tammy Beasley and one other person were injured in a truck accident just after 4:15 p.m. along U.S. 79.

According to reports, Randy Beasley—age 60—and Tammy Beasley—age 43—were in a south-facing Nissan Rogue on Farm to Market 9 at the U.S. 79 intersection when the accident took place.

Authorities indicate that the Nissan entered the intersection in order to make a left turn onto eastbound U.S. 79 at an unsafe time. This resulted in the Nissan’s front driver’s side being struck by the front end of a westbound 18-wheeler. The collision caused the Nissan to be pushed several feet, coming to rest facing west in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 79. The 18-wheeler reportedly traveled through the eastbound lanes and off of the roadway after the impact, striking a fence and tipping onto its left side.

Randy Beasley and Tammy Beasley both incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident, while the 52-year-old sole occupant of the 18-wheeler sustained suspected minor injuries. All three were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive treatment. Randy Beasley, however, later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly rainy and wet. There are not currently any additional details available pertaining to this incident.
