How Did This Accident Occur?

A pedestrian hit by a vehicle on the interstate typically traces back to the pedestrian being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It’s important, though, to know the full story. There could be extenuating circumstances that change things. Let me give an example.

I actually had a case a while ago where alcohol led to a man being hit and killed by a car. He’d been out with friends having a good time, but he ended up becoming dangerously intoxicated. In fact, the venue they were at broke the law and over-served. As a result, he got lost trying to walk home, wandered onto a highway, and a car hit and killed him.

What a lot of folks wrote off as just some reckless pedestrian turned out to be a whole local establishment breaking the law and putting lives at risk. Maybe that isn’t what happened here, but have authorities ruled that out? That’s the sort of thing a proper accident reconstruction should be able to answer.
