How Did This Accident Occur?
At this point, we don’t know much about this crash, not even how these two trucks came together. I hope that is because authorities have been too busy investigating this accident to offer any updates.
This investigation should provide answers to any lingering questions the truck driver’s family has about this crash, or they may opt to have an independent investigator look at the evidence.
Investigators will work to reconstruct this crash by poring over vehicle data, physical evidence, witness statements and available video footage, while cell phone records could show what each driver was doing at the time.
Authorities also should look at each trucking company to see if they adequately vetted and trained the drivers, or whether one of these trucks was overdue for any scheduled maintenance or repairs.
