Adams County, IL — September 24, 2026, one person was killed in a truck accident at about 6:30 a.m. on State Route 336/Thomas A. Oakley Memorial Highway near Mendon.

Authorities said a semi-truck overturned and caught fire near the intersection with County Road 1925 North. It was fully engulfed in flames by the time troopers arrived on the scene.
