Our attorneys Know How to Win Truck Accident Cases Against Sygma Network.

Truck accident claims function very differently from car accident claims. When you've been injured in an accident with a truck operated by a company like Sygma Network, you don't want to make the mistake of thinking you can handle it on your own. Trucking companies face the potential of losing a lot of money in an accident claim, and they're willing to play dirty to protect their financial interests.

Questions Answered on This Page:

  • What should I do if I've been hit by a truck owned by Sygma Network?
  • What is Sygma Network's safety record?
  • Is it difficult to win a case against Sygma?

What Is The Sygma Network

The Sygma Network was founded in January 1984 as a new distribution company arm of Sysco Corporation, specializing in service to restaurant chains. Their first case of product was shipped in May 1985 from Sygma's first distribution center in Oklahoma. In 1988, the SYGMA Network added Sugar Foods and Food Service Specialists to its holdings through Sysco's acquisition of CFS. Sygma is one of the largest food-service distributors in the nation.

Sygma Network operates over 1,100 vehicles, and employs over 2,000 drivers. In 2014 and 2015, Sygma was involved in 108 crashes. Almost 40 resulted in unspecified injuries, and one accident resulted in a fatality. While this might not seem like very many wrecks over a two-year period and the data doesn't indicate what percentage of the total was the fault of a Sygma driver, truck drivers are essentially professional drivers. They operate powerful machinery, and even one crash that happened as a result of negligence on the part of the driver or the company is too many.

Sygma drivers have 55 violations for exceeding the speed limit, 25 violations where the driver failed to obey traffic control devices, 24 instances where a driver violated lane restrictions, and around a dozen violations involving using a handheld cell phone while operating a CMV. To be clear, we're not trying to pick on truck drivers. We understand that they have a job to do, but if they're willing to break the rules in these instances, it begs the question: what else are they willing to do?
