Two semi-truck drivers lost their lives Saturday night in a head-on collision on Interstate 80 in Keith County. According to authorities, the crash happened around 11:45 p.m. when a westbound semi-truck crossed the median and collided with another semi headed eastbound near Brule.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger from the eastbound semi was hospitalized with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The Nebraska State Patrol is continuing to investigate what caused the westbound semi to leave its lane and enter oncoming traffic.
