How Did This Accident Occur?
A lot of people might just assume the cause of a single-vehicle truck accident like this must be the driver doing something wrong. While that is commonly what happens, it’s important to consider other possible factors.
I always talk about the importance of investigating potentially unavoidable factors with car accidents like this. But when it’s a commercial vehicle, there are additional concerns to keep in mind. Is the driver working for a negligent employer? Are they being forced to cut corners or driving long hours? Is their truck not being well-maintained? Do they not have proper training or experience?
Ultimately, it’s up to the evidence to say what happened here. My hope is simply that the crash is handled by investigators who will leave no stone unturned.
