Accident Report

Del Rio, TX — August 15, 2026, Tyler Ricker was injured in a hit-and-run accident at about 9:10 p.m. on West Gibbs Street/State Highway Spur 239.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a tan GMC Yukon rear-ended a 2026 Kawasaki Ninja ZX motorcycle as both vehicles were heading southwest near Avenue A. The impact forced the motorcycle into a highway sign, while the SUV drove away.

Motorcyclist Tyler Ricker, 28, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Val Verde County crash at this time.
