Accident Report

Plano, TX — August 11, 2026, two people were called in a wrong-way accident at about 10:20 p.m. on Preston Road/State Highway 289.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a northbound 2021 Toyota 4Runner was driving in the southbound lanes near Commonsgate Boulevard when it collided head-on with a 2016 Toyota Tacoma.

Both drivers were seriously injured in the crash, according to the report. Their names have not been made public yet.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Collin County crash at this time.
