How Did This Accident Occur?

Authorities obviously believe a driver failed to yield, which might seem open-and-shut. But finding out why that happened can have significant implications. For example, it would be relatively straight-forward if this happened because a driver was looking at their phone fiddling with their music. However, what if they were in a work truck rushing to meet a deadline because their employer punishes drivers who fail to meet unreasonable expectations? With all the oil and gas going on in Midland-Odessa, that wouldn’t be an unusual scenario at all. So, it’s important investigations can tell the full story so that any following consequences can appropriately match the actual behavior that led to the crash.
