How Did This Accident Occur?
I hope that police haven’t stopped investigating this crash just because they’ve arrested one of the drivers. I’ve seen too many accidents in my career that turned out to have happened completely differently than they appeared upon first impression.
The phrase “lost control” doesn’t mean much when it comes to figuring out how a crash happened. It’s police shorthand for not knowing why something happened.
This crash killed a teenage boy and left three other people in the hospital, so it needs a full and complete investigation so those families will get the answers they deserve about what happened.
Did the Chevrolet experience unexpected acceleration? Was there a problem with its steering mechanism? Did it swerve to avoid another vehicle? These mechanical issues could be factors in the crash, but we won’t know until the investigation is complete.
