How Did This Accident Occur?

In a crash like this, it’s hard to imagine a scenario where the truck driver isn’t responsible for hitting a pedestrian after being stopped at a red light. The driver had a duty to ensure its turn was made safely.

But the question is whether responsibility extends any further. Did driver’s employer provide proper vetting and training? Did the manufacturer do enough to limit blind spots that might cause such an accident?

No one knows the answers to those questions at this time, but that is why a full and complete investigation into this crash is vital.
