Due to the accident, Scott Houser reportedly had serious injuries. A 15-year-old in the Kia reportedly had injuries, as well. No other injuries were reported. At this time, additional details are unconfirmed.

How Did This Accident Occur?

With a multi-vehicle crash like this, it can be hard to answer this question. Like any crash, common factors tend to be cellphone use, unsafe speeds, making an unsafe lane change, or following too closely. But actually preserving evidence is where the challenges can arise. Authorities are often so busy securing the scene, helping people, and getting traffic going that the investigations take a backseat. If they aren’t able to follow up with the proper tools and enough time, important evidence might slip through the cracks.

This is why a lot of seemingly “average” car accidents still end up needing independent investigations. Not all of them get the attention they deserve, and families end up with unanswered questions. So, it’s only natural they might decide to bring in independent professionals who can focus on sorting through all the mess and getting clear answers. It wouldn’t surprise if similar steps ended up being necessary here, as well.
