How Did This Accident Occur?

In my experience, it could be difficult for authorities to piece together what happened on this stretch of I-35W until they can track down the hit-and-run vehicle.

Data from that vehicle’s engine control module could help investigators working to reconstruct this crash, but they have to find it first. Fortunately other tools used in accident reconstruction — physical evidence, witness statements and available video footage — can help track down the suspect vehicle and its driver.
