Searcy, AR — April 21, 2023, Ronald Vest was killed following an 18-wheeler accident that happened around 8:30 p.m. along Wilbur D. Mills Avenue.

Preliminary details made available to the public say that the crash took place at the intersection of Wilbur D. Mills and Eastline Road ((Highway 36 W. and Highway 367). Conditions at the time of the accident were said to be dry and clear.

Initial statements indicate that 68-year-old Ronald Vest of Kensett was in a Ford F-150 pickup traveling westbound along Highway 36. While crossing the intersection, it’s reported that a northbound 18-wheeler failed to stop for a stop sign. As a result, the two vehicles collided with one another.

Vest sustained injuries which ultimately proved fatal. The other driver was not said to be injured. Right now, it’s unclear if authorities are planning to file charges or citations. Details regarding other factors surrounding the crash are unavailable at this time, as well.
