Robert Allen Killed Hit-and-run Motorcycle Accident in Houston, TX

UPDATE (October 27, 2023): The motorcyclist killed in the incident has been identified as Robert Allen.

Houston, TX — October 20, 2023, a motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run accident at 9:30 in the evening along Woodway Drive.

Authorities state that the 53-year-old motorcyclist—whose identity has yet to be verified—was traveling westward on Woodway Drive just west of Chimney Rock Road on a Suzuki motorcycle when the incident occurred.

The Suzuki was reportedly driving in an erratic manner before, for unknown reasons, it was hit from behind by a white van traveling in the same direction. The collision caused the motorcycle to swerve off of the road and run into a light post before falling on the sidewalk and ejecting the man from the seat.

Reports state that the white van—which had an unknown make and model—fled the scene of the accident, neglecting to provide any assistance to the victim. He was pronounced deceased upon arrival of Emergency Medical Services. The hit-and-run incident is still under investigation; no further details are available at this time.
