How Did This Accident Occur?
Authorities clearly believe that the Tesla driver was in the wrong here. But saying someone “failed to control speed” only tells part of the story. It’s important to know why that happened. Was it due to cellphone use? Was there some kind of emergency going on? Was alcohol a factor? Did the vehicle have something wrong with its brakes or accelerator? Likely or not, it’s important for victims to have as much clear evidence telling their side of the story as possible. In my experience handling serious car accident cases, the people with the most evidence tend to have the best outcomes. That’s why it’s important steps are taken early on to secure that evidence so it can be used as effectively as possible going forward.
