How Did This Accident Occur?
Did the Hyundai change lanes when it wasn’t safe? Did it swerve to avoid another vehicle? Did the truck slow or stop suddenly? Did either of these vehicles have an issue with its brakes or steering mechanism? Addressing questions like this can help investigators piece together what happened on Katy Freeway.
Authorities can reconstruct this accident by poring over vehicle data, physical evidence, witness statements and available video footage, while cell phone records could show what each driver was doing at the time.
If investigators suspect a mechanical issue played a role in this crash, a qualified expert should examine these vehicles before they are repaired or scrapped. Most law enforcement agencies can’t handle that kind of inspection, but the Hyundai driver and his family deserve to know as much as possible about what caused this accident.
