How Did This Accident Occur?
Police likely are focused on finding the hit-and-run vehicle and its driver, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t investigating this accident.
Investigators will gather physical evidence, witness statements and available video footage as they work to track down that vehicle. That also can help them piece together what happened on this stretch of Northwest Highway, but the full picture of what caused this crash likely will not be clear until the suspect vehicle is located, in my experience.
Its engine control module will contain data on speed, braking and steering inputs that should help investigators reconstruct this accident.
