Accident Report

December 22, 2025, a man was killed due to a pedestrian versus car accident shortly after 7:00 p.m. along State Highway 358.

According to authorities, a 53-year-old man was on foot on State Highway 286 in the vicinity northwest of the Crosstown Expressway when the accident took place.

Details surrounding the accident remain scarce. Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the man was struck by a northwest bound Nissan Armada occupied by a 22-year-old man. The pedestrian reportedly sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. It does not appear that anyone else was hurt.

How Did This Accident Occur?

Since there are such limited public details at this point, I would caution people from jumping to conclusions. Based on past experience, I hope that investigators are asking enough questions to come to the correct understanding as to what actually happened. After all, a man ultimately lost his life as a result, and his loved ones deserve the truth, not just assumptions.

How did the pedestrian come to be on the highway? Was his own vehicle disabled, or was there some other reason? Was he in the active lane of the highway, or was he struck as he walked along the shoulder? If that was the case, then did the Armada veer out of its lane due to driver error, or was there a vehicle malfunction of some sort? The list goes on. Let me know if you have any ideas for additional questions you think investigators should be asking.
