Erath County, TX — May 27, 2023, Pablo Morales was injured by an alleged drunk driver around 4:08 a.m. at U.S. Hwy. 67 and C.R. 258 in Erath County.

According to authorities, the victim was parked in a Chevy Silverado facing south when a southbound Kia Forte struck his vehicle. The impact reportedly forced both vehicles from being north of C.R. 258 to just south of the intersection.

Officials report Mr. Morales suffered minor injuries while the alleged drunk driver sustained serious injuries.

Police recommended charging the Kia Forte driver with Intoxication Assault.
