South Windsor, CT — May 7, 2023, Norman Poulin was killed following an 18-wheeler versus motorcycle accident at around 7:00 p.m. along U.S. 5.

Preliminary details provided by authorities said that the crash took place between Ellington Road and Chapel Road.

Norman Poulin Killed in Tractor-trailer Accident in South Windsor, CT

From the initial reports, it appears that 60-year-old Norman Poulin was on a motorcycle traveling along U.S. Highway 5 (John Fitch Boulevard). In a series of events not yet clear, the motorcycle and a tractor-trailer somehow crossed paths, resulting in a collision.

Poulin was thrown from the bike and sustained re3portedly serious injuries. It appears Poulin succumbed to those injuries following transportation to a hospital. No one else was said to be injured. At this time, authorities have yet to release information about suspected causes for the crash nor any information about possible charges or citations. Their investigations are ongoing.
