Months after an accident, people would generally expect there to be some new information. However, OSHA statements like this are all too common. The real challenge is when families are getting equally little in the way of clear information. It would surprise folks how often I got calls from a family who lost a loved on the job because officials simply weren’t answering any of their questions.
As such, independent investigations can be a vital step toward closure when official agencies are only focusing on their own priorities and not looking out for the needs of the family. So, either authorities here have been more diligent to get answers behind the scenes, or there’s still more to this story not getting the attention it deserves.
