Travis County, TX — April 1, 2023, one person sustained fatal injuries following an accident involving two cars along Kellam Road southeast of Austin.
Initial details in the news from Austin-Travis County EMS officials say that the incident happened at approximately 4:41 a.m. near Pearce Lane. Preliminary investigation suggests a southbound vehicle may have left its lane for unknown reasons, crossed into the oncoming lane, then struck an oncoming northbound car almost head-on.
The impact killed the driver of the second vehicle. The crossover driver was reportedly unhurt.

This early in the morning, a lack of clear information can be rather concerning. It may be nothing except authorities not talking while investigations are in the early stages. Many times, however, it can come to light that investigators weren’t treating the accident as a high priority, causing important details to slip through the cracks.
