Fargo, ND — July 9, 2023, a person was killed in a semi-truck collision on I-29 near Fargo, ND.
Authorities say that on July 9, a collision occurred between a pickup truck and a semi-truck on northbound I-29 near Fargo. Sources say the pickup truck, for unknown reasons, skidded off course and entered into a turning motion along the highway.
Investigators have not determined what caused the pickup driver to lose control of the vehicle. Authorities confirmed the pickup driver was thrown from the vehicle during the collision and was subsequently hit by an oncoming semi. The accident occurred shortly before 3:00 p.m.
The pickup driver, whose name has not been released, was killed in the accident. No other injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
