Accident Report

Randall County, TX — August 21, 2026, Leland Townsend was killed in a rollover accident at about 8:30 p.m. on South Washington Street/F.M. 1541 south of Amarillo.

Authorities said a northbound 2006 Chevrolet Silverado left the road and overturned in a ditch north of Venetia Road.

Driver Leland Bart Townsend, 65, of Selmer, TN died from injuries suffered in the crash, according to authorities.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Randall County crash at this time.
