Authorities have not released any additional information about the Ector County crash at this time.

How Did This Accident Occur?

Initial reports contend this crash happened because the pickup failed to yield, but there is no indication the driver has been issued a citation at this time. That could mean the citation hasn’t been reported yet, or maybe authorities are looking into other possible causes for this accident. A full investigation is always a good idea to get to what caused a crash, in my experience.

Investigators likely will work to reconstruct this accident by poring over vehicle data, physical evidence, witness statements and available video footage, while cell phone records could show what the driver was doing at the time.

If authorities suspect a mechanical issue caused this crash, a qualified expert should examine the vehicles before they are repaired or scrapped.
