August 27, 2025, Leandro Marroquin Lopez was killed as the result of a work accident that happened along Hartford River Lane.
Investigators responded to the residential area off the southeast corner of Beechnut Road and Mason Road, west of Houston.

How Did This Accident Occur?
A landscaping accident can involve all kinds of unique factors, but I don’t want to speculate while there’s so little information available. Instead, I want to highlight something that’s been consistent between just about every fatal work accident case I’ve handled across nearly 40 years. That fact is that a worker’s family usually has to go out of their way to advocate for their own needs.
