Kyle Stanton Killed in Truck Accident in LaGrange County, IN

UPDATE (October 25, 2023): The identity of the victim of this accident has been confirmed as 47-year-old Kyle Stanton of Columbus, OH.

LaGrange County, IN — October 22, 2023, one person was killed in a truck accident at approximately 10:00 p.m. along the Indiana Toll Road.

Authorities state that a car was travelling at reportedly low speeds in the westbound lanes of the Indiana Toll Road.

For reason which are still unclear, a semi-truck collided with the back of the car; the collision caused the vehicle to veer across the median and all the way over the the shoulder of the eastbound lanes, where it caught fire.

Although bystanders attempted to extricate the trapped driver of the burning vehicle, because of the excessive heat of the fire, they were unable to do so; the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No further details are available at this time. This incident remains under an active investigation.
