How Did This Accident Occur?
After any car crash, investigators will no doubt check things like cellphone use and possible speeding. Late at night, there’s also a concern for fatigue. But even uncommon possible factors need attention. Just hypothetically, what if there were issues with traffic control in the area? Malfunctioning lights, obstructed or missing signage, worn road markings, vegetation blocking lines of sight, etc. I rarely ever see official car accident investigations look into these things. If nothing else, they should be ruled out so nothing slips through the cracks. If authorities here have been more thorough than what I’m used to seeing, that would be good to know. It’s definitely not something I’d take for granted, though.
