Accident Report
August 2, 2026, Jonathan Bullock and one other were injured after a car accident that took place around 4:53 a.m. along I-30.
Preliminary statements from officials report that the crash happened along westbound lanes of the interstate at the Loop 12/Walton Walker intersection.
According to officials, 39-year-old Jonathan Bullock was in a Buick Envista that reportedly broke down along the interstate. While there, a Dodge Challenger and a Nissan Altima struck the Buick.
Jonathan Bullock and the Nissan driver, a 21-year-old man, reportedly had serious injuries. The Dodge driver wasn’t hurt. At this time, additional details are unavailable.
How Did This Accident Occur?
Crashes like this one tend to revolve around how visible and reasonably avoidable the disabled car was. If it was completely dark and in the middle of a lane of travel, then it might be reasonable for a driver not to be able to avoid hitting it. But if the vehicle had its emergency lights on or was out of the way of traffic, a driver crashing into the disabled car would raise some red flags about what prevented them from avoiding the crash.
One thing that could help get a clearer picture here is if there is any video of the crash. Did anyone involved have a dash cam? Can authorities put out the word for other drivers to come forward if they passed the disabled car before the crash happened? Are there any nearby traffic cameras or businesses with a view of the road? That evidence is time-sensitive, so hopefully authorities have already worked to preserve it and get some answers.
Did anyone pass through this area and see anything? Let me know in the comments.
