How Did This Accident Occur?

Most people who read about a motorcycle accident like this probably would assume it was caused by driver error or fatigue. That is often the case, especially in single-vehicle accidents, but in my experience motorcycle crashes warrant a little extra scrutiny.

Investigators should push for an in-depth vehicle inspection in addition to using physical evidence, vehicle data, witness statements and available video footage to reconstruct this accident. Motorcycles are vulnerable to mechanical issues that can only be identified through a careful examination by a qualified expert.

This investigation should give the Harley rider and his family a clear picture of what happened on S.H. 198.
