El Paso, TX — April 3, 2023, Jay Drake Murrey was killed in a collision with a semi-truck around 9 a.m. on U.S. Highway 54 in El Paso.

Officials report Jay Drake Murrey’s GMC Envoy was southbound while a Kenworth semi-truck was northbound on U.S. Hwy. 54 when the two vehicles collided head-on.

Jay Drake Murrey suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The semi-truck driver was reportedly transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
