April 6, 2026, Jaime Humberto Andrade was killed due to a car accident at around 9:17 p.m. along North Desert Boulevard.
Preliminary details about the accident say that the crash took place just off the corner of the North Desert Boulevard and Paseo Del Norte intersection.
It appears that 56-year-old Jaime Humberto Andrade was in a Subaru Outback going along Desert Boulevard at the time. While doing so, a BMW reportedly rear-ended the Subaru. Due to the collision, Jaime Andrade was killed.
It’s unclear if the BMW driver, a 19-year-old, was injured. Authorities say they suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash. Additional details are unavailable right now.
How Did This Accident Occur?
Authorities say they suspect alcohol as a possible factor, and that would raise some serious red flags. If a 19-year-old was under the influence of alcohol, where did they get that alcohol? Was it someone they knew buying alcohol for people underage? Or, is there a local establishment selling alcohol to minors?
Frankly, I’ve seen the latter happen quite often. I’ve investigated hundreds of negligent alcohol providers for unlawfully over-serving customers and contributing to drunk driving wrecks. Usually when they’re breaking one law, they’re breaking more. That’s why it’s important to thoroughly investigate this possibility and call out any establishments that may have played a role in this crash. Otherwise, they may continue putting the community at risk.
That said, authorities have not definitively confirmed alcohol as a factor here. Sometimes, they bring it up just because a crash happened late at night. There still needs to be consideration for things like distracted driving, road hazards, unsafe speeds, possible vehicle defects, worn tires, etc. Likely or not, the victim’s loved ones deserve to know they’re getting the full story.
