Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
One of my concerns any time a motorcycle accident comes up is how thorough authorities have been in their investigations. To be frank, motorcycle wrecks aren’t often treated as a high priority, so complex possible factors can slip through the cracks. With typical car accidents, it can take time to consider a lot of intricate possible details. Did the vehicle have any defects? Were there issues with the roadway? Was the driver unlawfully over-served by a bar? Were there other vehicles involved that left the scene? Likely or not, it’s important even just to rule out these kinds of possibilities so the victim’s loved ones know they’re getting the whole story. Right now, I can’t say with any confidence that this wreck is being investigated thoroughly. There could be more to the story that changes that, though.
